Feeling Of Superiority: A Trait Of Insecure People

A sense of superiority: a trait of insecure people

We all know people who pretend to be very confident and who brag about themselves. Head up, they claim to know everything and that no one can ever reach their level. These people are known for pretending to be superior to others. They think they are better than anyone else, their admirers and their victims next to them.

Modesty does not characterize these people. They flinch and perform in a way that might make them stand out from the crowd. But is there anything more to do with this? Could this be a mask that hides a deep complex behind it?

Superiority and self-deception

Think of people who bully others. They are not as strong as they seem, for they must harm others in order to bring about fear and respect. But from the inside, they’re not as bold as they seem. They have serious problems that they hide and reflect on the people around them.

The same thing happens with those who pretend to be superior. Behind all the contempt they show for their friends is a much deeper problem that they are trying to cover up. This situation results in them putting a mask of self-sufficiency on their faces, but this need will never be satisfied.

The woman behind the mask

People have a great capacity to deny the problems around them. And sometimes, even when the reality is right in front of their eyes, they shamelessly deny it. Sometimes it’s because of fear, sometimes it’s shame. For people who pretend to be superior to others, their biggest problem is the uncertainty that haunts them.

Conscience, of course, plays a significant role in this. In this situation, you can either feel superior or inferior. People who pretend to be superior hide their own insecurities by pretending to be better than others and humiliating them to make them feel better.

They look at people down

One factor that may lead to a person behaving better than others is that he or she has been bullied as a child. It is possible that when he goes to college, his behavior changes abruptly to protect himself from future attacks and harassment.

For this reason, they think that from day one they have to step on others and show self-confidence so that they will no longer step on them, and they claim to be something they are not really. They never know the mistake they made, they just blame others. They may also be petty and arrogant, holding such a positive view of themselves that they become a role model for the people around them.

Flowers on the face

To feed their superiority, they need people’s attention, and if they don’t get it, they feel unlucky and collapse. That’s why they’re so melodramatic, and that’s why they joke from above to show who the real leader is.

Sooner or later, however, the situation ends, and when that happens, their self-esteem is vulnerable. Ignoring the problem only makes it worse, and when it can no longer be fixed, it pushes against with such force that it is difficult to resist.

Putting a mask on your face is never a good idea. The solution is to find a balanced self-esteem so that you can feel confident and good. Presenting yourself as someone who hurts others will not make you feel any better, at least for a long time. Inside you feel that horrible emptiness and uncertainty.

So every time you run into a person with a superiority problem, be careful. There is no reason for them to behave this way, they have certainly gone through horrible situations in their lives. If you have the opportunity to extend your helping hand to them, do so; if not, distance yourself from them and let them walk their own path until they have resolved their uncertainties with their own advice.

Woman's masks

Now you know that anyone who exaggerates their strengths — be they certainty, strength, courage, or intelligence — and pretends to be above others does so because they are insecure. It’s a way to protect them themselves, when in reality they’re just hurting themselves.
