Instagram And Broken Ego

Your self-image is built largely on references from the outside world. But these references may still be transformed by social media (somen), such as Instagram.
Instagram and a broken ego

We don’t yet know if social media will become one of the most harmful and useless elements of the Internet in a few years. Perhaps research reveals that social media forums such as Instagram are harmful to physical health and mental health.

We still do not have enough information to support a final conclusion. But many studies provide important facts about how we use social media. Social media seems to affect psychological health. Of course, the degree of impact depends on the personality of the user, the time spent on social media, the social media forum itself, or the age at which the person first used social media.

However, we know that the use of social media can become addictive. Just like any addictive substances, some seem to be active in the reinforcement neural circuit. The use of Some can even lead to tolerance and detoxification.

Different social networks, different effects

We must have all felt inferiority, restlessness, and even anxiety when we wear something. This could be due to negative comments from Internet trolls, for example, or unrealistic assumptions about photoshop images. While you may have already suspected the negative impact of social networks on your mental health, a recent study has raised serious concerns.

likes and comments in somessa

This study came to the conclusion that Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter cause severe mental harm to 14-24 year olds. According to research conducted by two organizations, the Royal Society for Public Health and the Young Health Movement, Instagram is the most harmful social network for young people.

To conduct the study, the researchers asked 1,500 people aged 14 to 24 to share the Finnish impact on their lives. They were offered 14 different criteria, e.g. loneliness, self-esteem, anxiety, stress and harassment. Of all these criteria, Instagram received the worst ratings.

But Snapchat, Facebook and Twitter were not far from Instagram either. These three networks also had a negative impact on user well-being. Researchers believe these networks increase anxiety. The only social network that researchers found more positive was YouTube. While some users felt that YouTube and the content it provided made users sleep less.

“It’s interesting to see that Instagram and Snapchat rank worst in terms of mental health and well-being – both networks are image-focused, and it seems that this leads to feelings of inadequacy and anxiety among young people,” says Shirley Cramer, CEO of the Royal Society for Public Health.

Instagram and self-image disintegration

It may seem that there is less content on Instagram than on any other social network. The biggest ingredient in this network is images. Friends or acquaintances are followed on Instagram, or  it is also possible to follow celebrities or other famous people on Instagram via hashtags  and public profiles. They are available to everyone.

This forum has the highest number of young users. This is a significant risk as these young people are immersed in the process of personal development. They are at a stage where they are just embracing values. Some teach them that doing work and dedicating to a profession is less valuable than uploading pictures to Instagram.

Some networks are no longer a means of communication. Today, they have become advertising spaces for several different brands. Social networks have become business networks, and Finnish users are their primary products as well as consumers. Many companies see business opportunities even in mothers who advertise the signs used by their children. By doing so, they turn children (often minors) into products.

“Fake it till you make it”

If someone sees a superficial and pointless person in a job without a job, but has thousands of followers, young people may think he or she is worthy of imitation. They start behaving unnaturally and “like” things they’re not really interested in. As a result, their weak egos become disapproving, fragmented, and broken.

There are too many pictures of clothes, homes, trips, friends, jokes, kisses and hugs in this social media forum. For each account that offers something unique, there are ten accounts that try to influence the user with some powerful, seductive, and disguised vanity.

The Instagram user cannot resist watching nice pictures all the time. It is understandable that such a person looks at them and wants similar images. In this case, the Finnish user may even embark on a journey he has seen on the Finnish. But what exactly is the labor market like today? What kind of salary do young people need to receive so that they can live properly? How big is the difference between the images seen in the some and real life? Does the Finnish user really want these? Does he really need these things?

Professionals need to start working

When the enormous amount of time spent in Some doesn’t accurately reflect anything real,  we begin to doubt our understanding of life, society, and effort and hard work.

People see attractive values in this virtual reality that are not found in real life. Thus, they begin to rethink the really important values of their lives, such as education, hard work, effort, or dedication.
