Leonardo da Vinci and the search for perfection

As we read Blanco’s book, we get to know da Vinci, which is largely completely unknown to the general public. The author has tried to step into the mind of this genius, which is a complex and arduous task, to offer a passionate story about the outstanding philosophical and poetic development of this famous Renaissance artist.

It is not very surprising to find in the book truly joyous songs about the victories of da Vinci – a trained man with strong convictions – as opposed to the misfortune of being able to see the skyline that many people today cannot even comprehend, even 400 years after his life.

Blanco reveals the virtues and tragedies of da Vinci in a bold literary play that combines different genres,  emulating himself an artist who was able to create real gems in any field, be it painting,  writing  or even engineering skills.

However, this search for perfection has relentless gray areas. A person with boundless intelligence and imagination  can be limited by the limitations of society and the world in which he lives.

As a man with such an immense constant thirst for wisdom, could he have enjoyed the technology we enjoy today? What heights could he have reached if he had only been born a little later? How misunderstood would he be if he proclaimed his ideas and inventions now?

Leonardo da Vinci, a visionary genius

Despite the challenges of his genius, Leonardo da Vinci never allowed his own time or the limitations or obstacles it caused to take over. With wide boundaries in the field of technology and limited technology, he was able to design machines that got to see the light of day thanks to the advances that took place hundreds of years later.

Without a doubt, da Vinci was a genius who possessed the gift of creativity that only a few people in history have received. Only an undisputed  genius  can see beyond the limitations of his own time.
